Mama Meet: Bianca Reis and The Original Swagroll

I recently met Bianca Reis through a mutual friend, and I am beyond excited to introduce her to you. Bianca is a mama of two adorable babes, lives in Brooklyn, NY and is the founder of the awesome kidswear brand Agatha Cub.

Now, she's working on her next venture: The Original Swagroll. Noticing that no product exists like this yet, she set out to create it. She's worked hard on perfecting the functionality (and beauty!) of the Original Swagroll - and the kickstarter for it launches today!

Read on below to learn a little bit more about Bianca.

Tell us about yourself!

My name is Bianca, I'm a kidswear designer, a small business owner and mama to Cillian (2 years) and Aoife (3 months) and our pup Bodhi.

What does Motherhood mean to you?

Becoming a mama has been one of the most transformative rites of passage i have been through. Crossing the threshold into my new role as mother was an intense, hormone-fueled, emotional love bubble and continues to this day to provide many teachable moments for me. I had always known that my mother was a very important person to me and that she had worked hard in raising us but becoming a mother myself, opened this window into the sisterhood. For the first time i knew complete exhaustion, endless love, immeasurable strength and the self doubt and responsibility that comes along with these small people.

How has becoming a mama changed you?

I am more organized than ever, i can see into the future and around corners when it comes to my children. Yet, i often feel like more of a failure when things go wrong. I can be hard on myself, because there's more at stake than ever before. But i guess that is the very definition of mom guilt!

What is The Original Swagroll Diaper Bag?

This is a product that is many years in the making, that is designed to reduce the number of #momfail moments when it comes to diapering adventures. Each kid wears diapers for about two years and the number of times that i'd wished i hadn't forgotten something but didn't have to carry around an excessively large bag to fit everything in. And don't even get me started on the rummaging for things in said bag! I originally designed The Original Swagroll for my sister when she was pregnant with her first child. She wanted a small and compact diaper bag that fit into the many handbags that she already loved. She wanted everything to be easily accessible and exactly where she left it.

So how does it work?

Well it looks like compact messenger bag when all rolled up, but when you unzip the quick-draw compartment you can quickly access your go-to items like wet wipes and diapers. Then if you unroll the entire bag, you can hook it on the back of any public restroom door and find a changing mat, and space for burp cloths, extra clothes, pacifiers, creams and even a double zipped wet bag for your dirties when a bin can't be found! It weighs under a pound and is 10"x 8" but expands to hold as much as you need for a few days or a weekend trip away.

How do we get our hands on one?
