Romper: 12 Breastfeeding Misconceptions
This week is World Breastfeeding Week, which is a week aimed at sharing information about breastfeeding and engaging the community in the support of and protection for breastfeeding.
Today, I'm sharing an article I recently read on Romper, a relatively new site I really like that chronicles and celebrates and covers the highs and lows of parenthood in funny, profound, down-to-earth articles written by moms like us. But the particular article I'd like to share is about 12 misconceptions about breastfeeding.
There is so much misinformation about breastfeeding - so many misconceptions and half-truths - that it can seem quite daunting to even think about breastfeeding, let alone do it and succeed.
Knowledge is power, and it's also the key to being a confident breastfeeding woman. This article does an incredible job of putting the power and confidence back into our hands by debunking and eliminating many of the commonly-held misconceptions about breastfeeding.
If you're a breastfeeding mom or plan to be one day, I hope you can take a few minutes to read it or share it with someone you know who is breastfeeding.
